YTD Optimizer
Shrink oversized vehicle textures so cars stream in faster and stop losing textures. It runs in your browser, so your files never leave your computer.
How it works
Most heavy cars ship with 4K textures nobody can see in game. Cutting them down saves memory without visible loss.
-
1
Drop your files
Add a single
.ytdor a ZIP of your vehicle resource or car pack. We list every texture and how much memory it takes. -
2
Pick a size
Textures over the limit are shrunk. If a texture has smaller versions built in (mipmaps), we keep those exactly, with no re-compression.
-
3
Download and test
Everything else in your ZIP is copied as is. Keep your original files and check the car on a test server before going live.
Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. There's no account and no limit. The work happens on your own computer, so it costs us nothing to run.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The page loads once, then reads, optimizes and saves your files locally in your browser. Nothing is sent to us.
What does it change?
Only textures inside .ytd files: their size, and optionally their compression. Models (.yft), meta files and scripts are copied unchanged. Dashboard render targets (script_rt_*) are never touched.
Will it fix every lag or texture loss problem?
No. It helps when heavy textures are the cause. Broken meta files, too many resources, scripts or client settings need their own fixes.
Which files are supported?
Regular FiveM/GTA V .ytd files, loose or in a ZIP. RAR, 7z and .rpf archives are not supported, so extract them and re-zip first.
Can I keep a texture full size?
Yes. After the scan, open a file and untick any texture you want to leave alone, like a livery you need sharp.
